(Summary description)In the jacking process of the mud jacket method, a high-pressure pump is used to inject thixotropic mud between the outer wall of the pipe and the soil to reduce resistance. 1. The main component of thixotropic mud is bentonite, and the gel value should be determined before use; 2. The mixing ratio of thixotropic mud is determined according to the type of soil layer around the pipeline, the properties of bentonite and the technical indicators of thixotropic mud; 3. The pipe jacking adopts the thixotropic mud sleeve method. Generally, grouting holes should be reserved on the pipe wall in advance before the pipe is lowered to reserve enough slurry. An advance ring can be added in front of the pipe to form a thixotropic mud layer with an over-excavation amount of 10-20mm; 4. After the jacking construction is completed, cement mortar or fly ash cement mortar can be pressed between the outer wall of the pipe and the soil layer as needed to replace the thixotropic mud to reduce ground settlement.
