EPB2980 earth pressure balance shield machine is used in Taiwan, China. It passes through a pebble layer of 10–80 cm, with an excavation diameter of 3.05 meters, a main machine length of 7 meters, a screw machine length of 8.5 meters, a complete machine length of 72 meters, and an installed power of 460 kilowatts. It is currently the smallest diameter earth pressure balance shield in my country. It is also the first ultra-small earth pressure balance shield machine in China, with a minimum turning radius of 35 meters.
