Yangzhou Dilong YD1500 Slurry-Type Rock Pipe Jacking Machine has been successfully deployed for the Yeosu Project in South Korea and put into operation. Tailored to the complex geological conditions of overseas projects, the machine steadily carries out jacking operations and completes phased construction tasks. The Yeosu pipe jacking project in South Korea features distinctive geological conditions and poses great construction challenges. The tunnelling section passes through typical upper-soft-and-lower-hard mixed strata. The upper silty soil layer is soft and vulnerable to disturbance, imposing stringent requirements on settlement control and tunnelling stability. The lower stratum consists of high-strength hard rock with an uniaxial compressive strength up to 100 MPa, which brings great difficulties in rock breaking and generates heavy jacking resistance. It constitutes a rigorous test for the machine’s rock cutting capacity, stratum adaptability and overall construction performance. Conventional pipe jacking equipment can hardly satisfy the construction requirements for alternating soft and hard strata.
